Green Schoolhouse

Roadrunner Elementary School students in Phoenix, AZ will soon be learning about a different kind of solar system, the one that’s powering their new Safari Schoolhouse! 

   

Empire Renewable Energy is proud to be the solar solution provider for the inaugural Green Schoolhouse Series project.  Empire will completely design, build and install solar panels for the Safari Schoolhouse.  

   

The Green Schoolhouse Series is a unique collaboration bringing together corporations, foundations, school districts, municipalities, communities, media outlets, and volunteers to build high-performance, environmentally sustainable, LEED-Platinum designed Green Schoolhouses at Title 1, low-income, public schools. 

   

Safari Solar Project Specifications:      

• Total System Capacity:  30.72 kW-dc 
• 96 SunPower SPR-320 (320 Watt) High Efficiency Modules 
• 6 SMA-5000US SunnyBoy 5kW Inverters  
• Roof mounted system using UniRac mounting system 
• Estimated annual production:  52,224 kWh
